UPCYCLED JEWELLERY

Is your jewellery box full of old jewellery that you don't wear any more?  We can transform it into something new, and wearable.  Our skills include CAD design which gives an accurate image of the finished article.  Sappho is trained by Hatton Garden's British Academy of Jewellery (BAJ) in Jewellery Design and Manufacture.  We can work to any constraints, budget and material.   Our design process starts with discussing your requirements, using any old jewellery that you bring or send to us and finally having it hallmarked at the assay office. 

Design can be discussed in our studio and workshop situated in Essex near to East London and Kent.  This is by appointment only.  Message or call for an appointment.  Alternatively we can come to you to discus your requirements in the comfort of your own home if you are local.  Our remote service is also available on request, using insured Royal Mail Special Delivery and Zoom or telephone consultations. 

INHERITED JEWELLERY 

We re-worked this old inherited jewellery which was a mix of different sized diamonds into a stunning 18 carat white gold ring.   The yellow gold was scrapped and the money was off set from the cost of the new gold. The brief was to keep a vintage feel and look of the original jewellery in a new bling style.  Using a CAD design package the new ring was drawn to include some of the shapes found in the original rings.  When we started to manufacture we added the mil-grain edges to give a beautiful art deco finish to it.  The customer was absolutely delighted with the end result, with the new design it was valued by Safeguard for a considerable sum of money.

AFGHAN AMETHYST 

Scott came to me with a pendant which his brother gave to him after a tour of Afghanistan with the British Army.  I have known Scott and Gary his brother for many, many years which really helped us get the most perfect engagement ring for his now wife Niina.  The purple sapphire is rare, Afghan purple sapphires are considered to be some of the best in the world.  With the sentiment of the sapphire I needed to make sure that the ring was going to be beautiful and set to give the sapphire the best light to shine.  Using traditional design and bench manufacturing the bespoke ring was made by hand with out CAD or casting. The oval sapphire was set with a halo of diamonds and an accent shoulders in 18ct yellow gold.
